Jerry Boykin: The Secret Service Needs to Pay Linda Sarsour a Visit

Just as it did following comedian Kathy Griffin’s “beheading” depiction of President Donald Trump, Family Research Council Vice President Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin (ret.) said the Secret Service should also investigate the incendiary comments made by Linda Sarsour at the Islamic Society of North America’s recent convention in suburban Chicago.

In a statement, he said despite her assertions of “jihad” meaning some kind of personal improvement program, most people see it for what it really is: a call for violence against the president and his administration. The Secret Service is tasked with investigating all threats against the president.

Boykin’s statement reads:

Let’s be clear that the speech Linda Sarsour gave last week at the annual Islamic Society of North America conference called for violence against President Trump and his administration.

She called for jihad, which is holy war against non-believers. Of course, she and her defenders have tried to deny that she was calling for violence but instead was calling for “a word of truth” to be spoken to Mr. Trump and his administration as part of a revisionist concept of Jihad which is defined as an “Internal struggle for personal betterment.”

Don’t believe it, folks. It is a ruse, and Muslims know it. Look at her background and previous actions and statements and you will find that she supports Hamas. That is all you need to know about her because Hamas is recognized as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government.

Furthermore, the writings and rulings of #Islamic scholars over the centuries make it clear that Jihad is violent warfare. Sarsour is using a technique called Takiya, or lying for the Islamic faith, to cover her true intentions, which is to advocate that Muslims rise up in “resistance” (rebellion) against Donald Trump.

The problem with this situation is that she will get away with it just like Black Lives Matter gets away with calls for the killing of police. Why? Because she is part of the only protected “religion” in America. No Christian could get by with this kind of rhetoric.

The Secret Service and FBI should be all over her right now. Now would also be a good time for Muslims in America to go public with their objections to her provocative words if they truly reject Sharia and Jihad. It is clear that many Muslims do reject both.

They need to take the lead of Egyptian President al-Sisi, who actually went to the center of Islamic jurisprudence Al Azhar University in Cairo and made a bold statement. He told the scholars there that Islam must reform.

Now would be a good time for a reformation among those Muslims who are proud to be Americans and want a future here for their families that does not include Sharia (Islamic Law). Realistically though, I don’t think we will see that happen, nor do I think this woman will be held accountable. Sad and frightening! {eoa}
