Activist: Geraldo Rivera Is Wrong About Ted Cruz
The love-hate-love relationship between conservatives and Geraldo Rivera came to a head recently when the FOX News Channel commentator attacked U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).
Rivera, who insists he’s a Republican, attacked the senator’s “New York Values” comment, saying it would be his downfall in next Tuesday’s New York Primary. Then, he took his criticism a bit farther.
“I think that he is going to get routed in New York, and deservedly so, aside from the stinking anti-Semitic implications that I see in that whole New York values, money and media-coded message that he put out there pandering to those Iowa voters,” he said. “It was designed to bring to the heartland the negative impression of greedy New Yorkers trying to take money out of people’s pockets, and I think the association is indelible and undeniable.”
But, in an interview with OneNewsNow, Laurie Cardoza-Moore, president of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations, said Rivera doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Not only that, but the commentator revealed his “ignorance” when he accused Cruz of being anti-Semitic.
“There’s never been a statement by Senator Cruz that would even come close to allowing someone to believe that he’s an anti-Semite,” she said. “He’s not talking about Jews in New York, he’s talking about the liberal establishment in New York City.
“[Rivera is] trying to interject his opinion into something that he has no business opining on, especially when it’s false.”
