As Tone of Race Changes, Marco Rubio Unveils New Element to His Campaign
In the final days before the early voting states begin casting their votes for the Republican presidential nomination, Marco Rubio has faced a number of attack ads.
As a result, his campaign announced Monday it is launched a new element: Early State Truth Squads. The goal is to dispel the “false attacks” that have been leveled against the Florida senator in ads running in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.
“The Truth Squads in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina will help set the record straight and promote Marco Rubio’s strong conservative leadership in the face of millions in false and negative attacks by an establishment worried about a new generation of leadership in Washington,” Rubio campaign Senior Advisor Joe Pounder said. “This is about ensuring that voters hear the truth about Marco’s vision for a New American Century.”
