Constitutional Scholar: ‘I Support Ted Cruz for President’
It may come as a surprise to many who listen to or read works by Mark Levin to learn the constitutional scholar hadn’t yet endorsed U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) for president prior to Wednesday night’s episode of Levin TV.
If there was any doubt as to whom he supports in the race for the White House in 2016, the nationally syndicated radio host and conservative author set them aside with a full endorsement of the Texas senator. He explained his support is based on the fact Cruz is best when it comes to “the Constitution, the Republic, individual sovereignty, separation of powers, the Bill of Rights, family, faith, a secure border” and “our national security.”
“Nobody’s perfect,” he added. “My great idol Ronald Reagan was not perfect. So it’s not that we seek perfection, or that we look for nitpicking ways to oppose somebody. No, you look at the whole picture. You take the whole life of the individual. You look at their entire career over a period of time.”
