Donald Trump’s Event Just Scored 2 Big Names
It’s very likely FOX News didn’t see this one coming.
“A Baptist, a Catholic and a businessman walk onto a private university campus” might sound like the setup for a bizarre joke, but in the chaotic final days of the race of the Iowa Republican Caucus, it’s more like a headline. And, no, the headline isn’t running on The Onion anytime soon.
Donald Trump’s “alternative event” to Thursday night’s FOX News Republican Presidential Debate just added two big names: former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum. Both men are scheduled to appear with former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina on stage for the undercard debate—then they’re immediately leaving for Drake University.
There, they are going to be helping raise awareness and money for veterans’ charities. Fiorina has yet to say whether or not she intends to attend or if she will stick around to watch the prime time debate.
The livestream of Trump’s event will broadcast on YouTube.
