Trump Tackles Human Trafficking and Has an Ally in—Roseanne?
The liberal media is having a field day with how well the return of the Roseanne television show is doing after knowing that the title character—and the actress who plays her—is a supporter of President Donald Trump.
About 25 million people caught the first episode of the show starring Roseanne Barr and much of the original cast—many perhaps curious about how the popular program would tackle politics. Barr has taken heat for her support of Trump, and last week praised his efforts to end human trafficking.
Best-selling author of God and Donald Trump and award-winning journalist Stephen E. Strang pays close attention to the many headlines surrounding the president, both fair and biased, and says Trump remains committed to many of the original issues on his campaign platform, including human trafficking.
“President Trump has been extremely decisive when it comes to checking items of importance off his list,” says Strang. “He does much more than talk or hold meetings, but the numbers are there to back up his agenda and his priorities, such as important issues like human trafficking, illegal immigration, border protection, job creation, tax cuts and much more. Regardless of what people may say about this president, few will deny Donald Trump is a man of action.”
In mid-March, the White House released a statement on human trafficking, where Trump said his administration “will focus on ending the absolutely horrific practice of human trafficking. And I am prepared to bring the full force and weight of our government, whatever we can do, in order to solve this horrific problem.”
The president continued in the statement that human trafficking is an affront to human dignity, with millions affected worldwide. The global atrocity deprives millions of their universal human rights and affects people from all backgrounds at home and abroad, placing millions into a sickening form of exploitation.
The White House also vowed to take a stand against human trafficking, dedicating the government’s full resources toward fighting this repulsive crime through the President’s Interagency Task Force to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (PITF), which is working tirelessly to address all aspects of human trafficking.
Barr, in her support of the president, tweeted last week: “President Trump has freed so many children held in bondage to pimps all over this world. Hundreds each month. He has broken up trafficking rings in high places everywhere. Notice that. I disagree on some things, but give him benefit of doubt-4 now.” —@therealroseanne
And although her declaration was dismissed by the mainstream media, a report by the Gateway Pundit proved her right, uncovering the fact that arrests for human trafficking were up 150 percent in 2017 and are on track to be up nearly 500 percent in 2018—over 2016 numbers.
In God and Donald Trump, Strang gives an inside look at the Donald Trump campaign, election and the presidency thus far, including how he engaged with evangelicals and other faith groups to claim victory.
