Chick-fil-A Manager Rescues COVID-19 Vaccination Site After Tech Glitch

A Chick-fil-A manager rescued a South Carolina COVID-19 vaccination site after a computer glitch left its drive-thru service behind.

Mayor Will Haynie of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, tweeted the video showing Jerry Walkowiak directing the line of cars with the efficiency that has come to define CFA and, specifically, its drive-thru.

Mayor Haynie enlisted the help of local health care services and the site of the vaccination drive-thru, Seacoast Church, to inoculate 1,000 Mt. Pleasant residents on Friday.

One Twitter user expressed her thanks to the team effort needed to expedite the process, echoing the words of many who have joked that if CFA were in charge of the vaccination distribution, the entire country would be inoculated in no time.

“The ultimate experts in drive-through management. Way to go Mayor Haynie & thank you Jerry and Chick-Fil-A!” she said.

Others chimed in with their support.

A Facebook user commented on WSB-TV’s post, saying, “Chick-Fil-A should run most everything- super organized and dedicated to great service!!” {eoa}
