Foundation of Faith: ‘Fixer Upper’ Stars Rely on God in Work, Home Life
Faith, family and good ol’ demolition skills are just a few of the defining factors of Chip and Joanna Gaines’ season premiere of Fixer Upper: Coming Home on Discovery+.
The couple rose to popularity with their home renovation show on HGTV, and fans have long applauded their commitment to keeping the Gaines’ relationship with Jesus at the center of their lives.
Chip recalled how Billy Graham’s late son-in-law, Danny Lotz, was influential in showing him how to live out his faith, “even in a secular environment,” Chip said. “He impacted my life by spurring me to shape my choices with my faith and to walk in my faith regardless of my ‘calling.'”
After a sabbatical to focus on their family, Chip and Joanna announced their journey documenting their popular home renovations was not over, and fans flocked to show their support.
And now, though Chip jokes in the season sneak peek, “I was hoping the Lord speaks to you through this ray of light,” their devout Christian beliefs have laid a foundation just as strong as the ones they work to build for their homes.
