John Bevere: The Bible Describes 4 Different Types of Speaking in Tongues

Share:

John Bevere says some of the theological confusion regarding speaking in tongues can be clarified by understanding that there are four types of tongues.

“The New Testament speaks of four different tongues,” Bevere says. “Two of those tongues are for public ministry. What do I mean by public ministry? They are ministry where you are ministering one or a group of people. Two of them are for private.”

He says the four types include tongues which are a sign, tongues given for interpretation, tongues for personal prayer and tongues for intercession. He goes into each category in more detail in this video teaching. Watch it here.
