President Donald Trump gave his first official in-person White House briefing since Election Day on Friday, Nov. 13, for an update on the coronavirus vaccine proceedings.
He touted the Centers for Disease Control’s efforts in the efficient development of what he is calling Operation Warp Speed, “The average development timeline for the vaccine, including clinical tests and manufacturing, can take 8 to 12 years. Through Operation Warp Speed we’re doing it in less than one year.”
The president said, “The vaccine will be distributed to front-line workers, the elderly and high-risk Americans immediately.”
