Megachurch Pastor Mike Glenn Sets Example for All Christians by Stepping Down
After more than three decades in service to Brentwood Baptist Church, Pastor Mike Glenn has come to the conclusion that God has something more for him and his family.
In a statement released on the church’s website, Glenn explains his reasons for leaving the congregation he has pastored of since 1991.
“Knowing that this day would come doesn’t make it any easier now that it has arrived,” Glenn wrote. “Today, I want to announce to you that 2023 will be my last year as the senior pastor of Brentwood Baptist Church. Thirty-two years—by any standard—is an amazing run, and I’m grateful for every minute. But the time has come for someone else to lead BBC into the future that I’m convinced God has for our church.”
Researchers Discover Yet More Physical Proof of the Bible’s Legitimacy
While many scoffers and skeptics would like to push aside the Bible as a “fairytale” or as “fantasy,” researchers continue to discover physical evidence that the Word of God is indeed true.
The Moabite Stone, also referred to as the Mesha Steele, was recently determined to contain explicit references to King David, the Jerusalem Post reported. The basalt stone slab was discovered in fragments in 1868 roughly 15 miles east of the Dead Sea and has been residing in the Louvre museum in Paris.
Until now, scholars couldn’t be entirely certain that the references on the tablet to King David were being correctly deciphered. That is no longer the case.
‘Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist’ Exposes the Heart of Those Who Won’t Be Raptured
Reading the pages of the Bible, it can be hard to grasp something you have never seen before in your life. One of those is the rapture. But, thanks to the work of “Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist” you can now see what a modern day rapture would look like, and the aftermath that ensues.
Charisma News sat down with Sam Sorbo to talk about the new thriller that comes out on Jan. 26, 2023.
“When he (the screenwriter) wove in the elements of what’s recently happened in our culture in our films all of our jaws dropped. It makes the movie that much more tangible. The rapture to the general public sounds so much like sci-fi it’s hard to take it seriously,” Sorbo says.
Man Wearing ‘Jesus Saves’ T-Shirt Told by Mall Security to ‘Take it Off or Leave’
A recently circulated video that has gone viral on social media shows a man wearing a neon green “Jesus Saves” T-Shirt being ordered by a security guard to remove the shirt or leave the Mall of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The security guard at the nation’s most famous shopping center can be heard on the video saying, “If you want to shop here, you need to take off that shirt.” The same guard can also be heard saying, “Jesus is associated with religion, and it is offending people. People have been offended. You’re walking, wearing that shirt in the form of soliciting and we’ve had guests come up and say they’re offended by your shirt.”
So, when is simply wearing a T-shirt considered soliciting? It was earlier this month in Minnesota.
‘A House of Demons’: Ex-Psychic Reveals Frightening Reality of the Occult
An ex-psychic recently discussed the “huge consequences” and terror she faced while engaging in the occult for decades. “There was a lot of fear, anxiety,” Jenn Nizza said on the premiere episode of her new podcast “Ex-Psychic Saved.” “I was raising my daughter this way … in a house of demons.”
Nizza said she was embroiled in the “darkness of the demonic,” with her foray into that realm beginning when she was a young preteen. {eoa}
