Lauren Daigle’s New Single Heals Wounds, Injustices With Faith-Fueled Charity Work
Growing up, Lauren Daigle’s home was open to anyone who needed a kind word, a warm meal and a place to belong. But this, she knows, is not the reality for many.
Her newest single, “Hold on to Me,” travels through the rough terrain of four isolating situations, while hopeful lyrics speak reconciliation in the background. Daigle sings, “Hold on to me when it’s too dark to see You/ Hold on to me when I have reached the end/ Hold on to me when I forget I need You.” The camera pans from the confines of prison to a fighting family, and the impact of eternity echoes from the contrasting reels of one couple beginning life together while another grieves over an empty hospital bed.
Daigle says the newly released music video isn’t just a “visually stunning piece,” but serves as a representation of four organizations she is partnering with over the next several months to remind listeners that not all hope is lost.
With Jesus, families fraught with fighting find rest.
With Jesus, prison reform and second chances come true.
With Jesus, death is not the end.
With Jesus, the best is yet to come.
