Top of the Week: ‘Papa Jack’ Taylor, Kingdom Leader, Dead at 87
These are the top stories featured in the past week on cn.mycharisma.com.
Jack R. Taylor, kingdom leader and decades-long proponent of the Spirit-filled life, died early this morning at age 87 in Melbourne, Florida. A graduate of Hardin-Simmons University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he pastored Castle Hills Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas, for almost 17 years. There, a powerful spiritual awakening took place in 1970, with more than 3,000 people coming to know the Lord during the first six months and church membership doubling in four years. This launched Taylor into a worldwide ministry that began in 1974 and carried him through more than 40 years of itinerant preaching, teaching and sharing the power of the Spirit through his nonprofit, Dimension Ministries.
Taylor’s ministry took another dramatic turn in August 1994 during a visit to Toronto, where “significant personal healing took place both physically and spiritually,” per his website. He spoke often at Catch the Fire Toronto, home of the famed Toronto Blessing. He also had a powerful ministry with more than 200 men and women he considered his spiritual offspring, continuing to mentor them in the faith even in the final years of his life.
Back in October 2020, Donald Trump Jr. said in an interview on Hannity that the 2021 election was “about freedom versus tyranny, capitalism versus socialism and communism.” Predictably, he was met with mocking and disbelief.
But New Zealander Trevor Loudon says Trump Jr.’s words were accurate. They’re playing out in the Biden administration at such a rate, in fact, that he says we’re in the middle of a communist revolution.
“What we see in the Biden Cabinet, as he is stacking his Cabinet and positions in the defense establishment, that disarmament community—everywhere you look, with Marxist pro-Chinese Maoists, people who have worked in Chinese organizations, Chinese media groups, Chinese academic organizations, people who have basically worked to bring down America for a very long time,” Loudon says. “The Biden administration is full of these people.” He names Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, whose father was “one of the top Marxist academics in the world” and Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh as among those with clear communist ties.
In response to Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner announcing his bid to oust California’s governor Gavin Newsom, Joy Behar said on The View, “He’s got this guy Brad Parscale running his campaign.” Later, Behar added, “I think that he should—she, rather, should take a seat and let somebody with the credentials take over a major state like California.”
Behar subsequently apologized for the “pronoun mixup,” explaining, “but, whatever, it just came out so I’m sorry if anybody was upset by that.”
But the damage had been done. Joy Behar had “misgendered” Jenner, something that I seriously doubt would have happened if Jenner had been running as a liberal Democrat rather than as a Republican. As Jenner explained in 2016, he gets more flak for being a Republican than he does for being trans.
Beloved, are you ready for the Lord to move suddenly with good things in April? If so, you will be encouraged by what the Lord showed me today!
This is the prophetic word the Lord gave me for April 2021:
“I am pouring out My Spirit of freedom on you. In April, you will have a tremendous desire to be free from all shackles that bind you.
“This desire is from Me. Do what you can to get free, and trust Me to do the rest. Ask Me daily to free you from debt and from any imprisonment in your mind.
“There are things I planned for you before your birth that I will be pouring out on you in April.
“These are special things. It is true that I wrote all of your daily works in My books before the foundation of the world, but I am referring to special things here. There are special things that will come as a result of a kairos moment in April, things that will propel you forward into the bright and glorious future I have in store for you.”
Pastor’s Strong Stance Against COVID Restrictions Brings Supernatural Breakthrough
Sometimes, you have to take a stand.
But as Caleb Cooper, pastor of New Hope Revival Church in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of the Greenelines podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network, in his case, a strong stance brought supernatural breakthrough.
“We took one of the strongest stances in the state,” Cooper says. “We were on a head-on collision with law enforcement, based on the governor and some of the [other authorities who were] able to release that voice against the church.”
When Cooper sat down with the New Mexico State Police, he made his perspective clear. They told him how intense COVID was and that “We’re in a different world. And we just want you to recognize how bad this really is,” he explains. {eoa}
