Raised From a Wheelchair and Healed from Terminal Lou Gehrig’s Disease

Healing testimonies are crucial aids for others to acknowledge their own miracles. There are the obvious reasons why testimonies encourage those in desperate circumstances. They provide hope to the hopeless; that others in similar circumstances, with the help of the Holy Spirit, have overcome and come out of the desert into the land of milk and honey.
It is the journey to healing that provides the most benefits. It is in the journey that the golden nuggets leading to the miraculous are found. My story of how I was healed from a fatal disease (Lou Gehrig’s and many other things) is no exception. How in the world does an atheist with little knowledge of God, Scriptures or the miraculous wind up experiencing a life-changing miracle by praying over himself? The answer is what sets my testimony apart from so many other wonderful testimonies of the miraculous.
It is in my journey that I found the nuggets of truth for discovering a supernatural lifestyle. Despite having rejected every notion of Jesus Christ, I was led by the Holy Spirit to experience a life-changing miracle.
One such nugget is that we often miss huge miracles in our lives. I’m talking about miracles that could catapult us to seeing even greater miracles. Starting in 2006, I lost my appetite and my stomach felt like it had rocks in it. I would only eat bites of food every two or three days. Then in January 2012, my stomach became completely paralyzed. From 2006 to 2012, I wasn’t taking in enough food to survive; this was while I was a full-blown atheist. I should have died from starvation at that time. Yet no one recognized this huge miracle. Within that scenario was a key lesson to be learned.
The Holy Spirit, whom I didn’t even know existed much less knew that He loved me so much, worked through me to show His love for me. He found a way for me to hear His voice and led me to experience this miracle, all while I wasn’t even trying to hear Him. This story shows how simple our heavenly Father makes it for us to experience His love and supernatural empowerment. How much more available is it for those who already hear His voice?
