Ex-Witch Jenny Weaver Warns of the Spiritual Danger of Halloween

Dressing up in costumes, handing out candy and carving jack-o-lanterns may seem like an innocent tradition, but Halloween’s roots come from a dark, ancient, pagan festival. Now, ex-witch Jenny Weaver who is being used powerfully by God is warning Christians about the spiritual danger of participating in Halloween.

Originally called “Samhain,” Oct. 31 marked the summer’s end and fall’s beginning. Many believed it was a day where the veil between the living and the dead was so thin people could cross through.

“It’s all steeped in demonic rituals,” Weaver says. People in Northern Europe would dress up in costumes to disguise themselves as one of the spirits rising from the dead to protect their families from what they thought was lurking between the veil.

Why are so many Christian leaders ignoring the warnings in the Bible about hypocrisy?

From the inquisitions of centuries past to the tragic fall of Hillsong leadership, leaders within the church are either not reading or ignoring the multitude of Bible verses warning against living a sinful life behind closed doors.

The name of Jesus is tarnished each and every time these failures of leadership are brought to light, and they will be exposed. Sometimes repeatedly.

How The Church’s Silence Is Hurting Young People

For the last 40 years, with rare exception, I have been teaching in (and leading) ministry schools on a weekly basis, having the joy and privilege of pouring into the next generation of leaders. I now spend five days a month in Texas, teaching three days at a school in Dallas and two days at a school in Fort Worth. This week, after speaking about the church and LGBTQ issues and people, one of the deans made a striking comment to me: “The church’s silence has hurt these people.” She was absolutely right.

I devoted the class this past Monday to the subject of the church’s calling to make a positive impact on society, to function as salt and light.

On Tuesday, I spoke about our calling to reach out to the LGBTQ community with compassion while resisting the agenda with courage. {eoa}
