  • “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl” (v. 5)
  • “Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl” (v. 17)

These verses are referring to having an abundance of food. Because of the radical “green” energy cult of the Democrats, we’re facing food shortages in our country for the first time in many years. To be fair, the droughts account for some of the shortages, but we’ve had many droughts before. The Democrats are choking our farmers with their war on fossil fuels, higher taxes and over-regulation.

According to the Washington Standard, the rice harvest in California will be “half what it would be in a normal year.” Our tomato harvest is expected to be “over a million tons lower than a normal year.” The carrot harvest is down “45%.”

A survey conducted by Iowa State University found that although Trump’s trade war with China had a temporary negative effect on farmers, more than half said they expected something good to ultimately come out of the trade war for the long-term. In the mean time, Trump gave the farmers $12 billion in relief in 2018 and $16 billion in 2019.

Food shortages alone should prompt most Americans to vote Republican.

  • “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses” (v. 8)
  • “A nation whom you have not known shall eat the fruit of your land and the produce of your labor” (v. 33)

The average American’s storehouses look quite different than they did in Moses’ day. Most of us don’t have barns, but we do have bank accounts and many have 401k accounts and pension plans. The Daily Wire reports, “A total of $2.1 trillion has been wiped from Americans’ 401(k) plans (storehouses) just since the beginning of this year, according to Stephen Moore and E.J. Antoni.” That’s an average of $34,000 per American. The article continues: “U.S. pensions funding has fallen 15% to $24 trillion in assets, wiping out two years’ worth of gains. Unless the losses are recouped, the pension plans will either need a taxpayer bailout or reduce benefits for retirees.”

That doesn’t sound like “blessing” to me. Moore and Antoni also wrote, “It adds insult to injury when inflation results in a de facto pay cut for Americans and their retirement savings are decimated by a bear market. Even the traditionally safe alternative of bonds is not a haven from the plunging economy.”

Another nation is eating the fruit of our land and the produce of our labor, namely China. Biden has reportedly eliminated the Trump tariffs on more than 350 products made in China. When you go to the polls, remember what your “storehouse” was like under Trump.

  • “You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow” (v. 12)
  • “He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him” (v. 44)

Our national debt is $31 trillion. According to the CBO, our annual interest alone is $400 billion or $3,055 per household. To be clear, there’s plenty of blame to go around in both parties for this massive debt. But which party is the lesser of evils?

Looking at the increase of our national debt by presidents is not a perfect way of looking at it because of events like 9/11, wars, natural disasters and COVID. Moreover, a president’s first year is normally set in stone by the budget of the previous administration.

That said, Obama added more to the national debt ($9.3 trillion) than both Georges (Washington and W. Bush) and all presidents in between … combined. Biden has already spent nearly half the amount of his former boss in just 22 months. And so much of it was spent on stupid stuff.

  • Hiring 87,000 new IRS agents, $80 billion.
  • Anti-discrimination and bias training, $25 million.
  • High-performance green buildings, $1 billion.
  • Accolades from far-left radicals, PRICELESS.

But they’re just getting warmed up. Now, they want to spend about $1.5 trillion on student loan debts. That’s to allow a guy making $30k to help payoff the debt for another guy’s Harvard law degree.

According to data published by Obama’s Office of Management and Budget, no Congress in which the Democrats controlled both the House and Senate has balanced the budget since 1969. That holds true today.

Six weeks before the 1994 mid-terms, Newt Gingrich and fellow Republicans introduced their “Contract with America” that made 10 promises to America if elected with a majority in Congress. They were given the majority and delivered for the American people by balancing the budget.

Now Republican House minority leader, Kevin McCarthy, has rolled out a similar promise to Americans, “Commitment to America.” McCarthy told Mark Levin that it would enable the GOP to “hold government accountable like you haven’t seen.”

According to virtually all recent polls, Americans trust the Republicans to handle the economy by double digits over the Democrats.

  • “They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways” (v. 7)
  • “They shall besiege you at all your gates until your high and fortified walls, in which you trust, come down throughout all your land” (v. 52)

According to The Crime Report, the majority of illegal immigrants came from these seven countries in the month of August: Mexico, Venezuela, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Cuba (although there have been apprehensions from over 150 countries). Under Republican control of the border, many illegal immigrants from these seven countries will “flee seven ways” back to where they came from.

With both chambers of Congress, Republicans could impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and possibly Biden himself for allowing an “invasion” into our country. The word “invasion” is mentioned four times in our Constitution, including Article IV, Section 4, Paragraph 1: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion.”

The Democrats are literally allowing them to besiege us at our gates, and with Democratic control of the border states, the walls could literally “come down.” Texas gubernatorial candidate, Beto O’Rourke, said in an interview with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes (at 4:35 in video), “Yes, absolutely. I’d take the wall down,” from a spot overlooking the border and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.

Near the end of the curses (v. 64), we read, “The Lord will scatter you among all the nations.” Mexican president Andrés Manuel López Obrador said recently, “I think that Mr. Blinken spoke about consolidating the region of North America, and we agree on that. We are also in favor of a unity of the entire American continent, like the way the first European community emerged and converted into the European Union. That’s what we want.”

Say what? So, this administration is considering merging the U.S. with Mexico and Canada? Folks, we need to wake up and get a check on this radical administration, or else we’re indeed going to be scattered among the nations!

Vote. And vote for the blessings. {eoa}
