Charismatic Leaders Are in the Mainstream Media’s Sights

It was bound to happen, and it finally has. The charismatic leaders who are prophesying and rallying Christians around the country have been noticed.

In particular, Lance Wallnau has caught the eye of the oh-so-fair and balanced Washington Post.

But like Sun Tzu said in “The Art of War,”: “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

The leftists in control of the media know who they are and what their goals are, it is the charismatic leadership they need to hamstring to ensure that the 2022 and 2024 elections do not follow in the pattern of 2016.

To say that evangelical, Pentecostal and charismatic Christians are viewed unfavorably by the mainstream media is a bit of an understatement.

With twisting’s of Christian Scripture and beliefs and a focus on scandals within the church filling many investigative journalism pieces over the decades, all too often the positive and true message of Jesus Christ is left at the wayside.

In the Post’s piece on Wallnau, the tone is set to make the prophetic seem like a business. Stating that in 2022 “prophecy is booming,” shows the ignorance in the statement. Because prophecy never left.

During the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the Azusa Street Revival in the early 1900s, prophecy was front and center. It was prophesied that there would be an apostasy and falling away from God that Americans can clearly see today.

But hope was also prophesied, in that there would be a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit as well.

Media criticism of speaking in tongues or prophesying is not new to this day and age either. For even during the days of Azusa there were articles criticizing those in the Spirit as mad and deranged.

There were many prophecies telling of the Brownsville Revival in Pensacola, Florida.

Over time there have been many prophecies spoken that have come true, so why is Wallnau the focus of an article by the Washington Post?

Because leaders like Wallnau and the others mentioned in the article—Sean Feucht, Dutch Sheets, Mario Murillo and Hank Kunneman—are rallying Christians to get out and vote.

If these Christian leaders are successful, a red wave is not only possible, but the likely outcome of many contested races across the country. That is exactly the point they are trying to get across to Christian voters, to get out and vote on biblical principles.

This is why the left-leaning media have to shine the light on what they are doing. They’re dangerous.

It is no secret that over the years media outlets have declared where they stand on the political spectrum.

Anyone like Wallnau, who represents the possibility of another term with Donald Trump as president, is a clear-and-present danger to the swamp, the World Economic Forum, proponents for globalization and many others with an agenda.

Therefore, Wallnau has to be identified. The leaders standing beside him have to be known as well as their positions.

This way, the media’s “experts” can be brought in to counter their beliefs.

The Post describes Wallnau’s persona as, “high-energy, chatty and very anti-liberal, with a ribbon of conspiracy theories running through, like a less angry, Scripture-citing Rush Limbaugh.”

Had anyone on the left paid attention to Rush Limbaugh over the years, they would find he was not an angry personality, because he loved what he was doing way too much.

But the true colors of the story come to light with analysis by Paul Djupe, a specialist in religion and politics at Denison University in Ohio. He claims prophets like Wallnau, “are so radicalized, much more than the traditional Christian right.

“It’s like: ‘The other side is evil. I know that because I’m in touch with God. And God tells me their plans are demonic,'” Djupe says.

Brushing off the gifts of the Spirit is not something that can be done so effortlessly. The Bible warns Christians of false prophets as well, many of which are evident today.

Predictably, there is the focus on those who prophesied incorrectly about the 2020 election. Some of them apologized, and only they know the potential reasons for why they were wrong.

Second Peter 1:21 says, “For no prophecy at any time was produced by the will of man, but holy men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” Wallnau is not speaking as though who he knows will win the election. He is exhorting Christians and lifting up the leaders he believes hold fast to godly principles, morals and beliefs, just as charismatic, evangelical and Pentecostal leaders are doing across the country.

The four years of constant assault against the Trump presidency gives an inside look on what charismatic leaders can expect to face if they stand with Donald Trump, should he announce he is running for the presidency again. It will be vitriolic, immoral and constant, and Christians know this because it is still going on two years into the Biden administration.

So, for positive, meaningful change to come about, Christians must lift up their leaders in prayer before the Lord, and put their faith into action by voting for Christian leadership at the helm of this country on Nov. 8.{eoa}
