Charisma News Brief: UFO Whistleblower Makes Eye-Opening Claims
A former Air Force intelligence officer has testified to Congress that the United States is concealing a longstanding program that retrieves and reverse engineers unidentified flying objects, testimony that the Pentagon vehemently denies.
Congress has been seeking answers from the Pentagon since retired Maj. David Grusch came out in 2022 with public claims that unnamed officials told him that the U.S. government was maintaining the highly secretive program, and that the government is in possession of “non-human” spacecraft and “dead pilots.” Instead of UFO, the official U.S. government term is “unidentified aerial phenomena.”
Grusch’s testimony before Congress has been highly anticipated for more than a month. Grusch testified under oath that while a member of the intelligence community’s UFO task force, he became aware of secret programs inside the U.S. government that were “in charge of unsanctioned technological research related to UFOs).
Grusch says he has personally interviewed individuals who have direct knowledge of UFO crafts.
When he was asked whether the government had information about extraterrestrial life, Grusch said the U.S. has “likely been aware of ‘non-human’ activity since the 1930s.”
In a statement, the Associated Press reported Defense Department spokeswoman Sue Gough said “investigators have not discovered any verifiable information to substantiate claims that any programs regarding the possession or reverse-engineering of extraterrestrial materials have existed in the past or exist currently.”
The statement did not address UFOs that are not suspected of being extra-terrestrial objects, the AP reported.
Grusch says he became a whistleblower after his discovery and has faced retaliation for coming forward. He declined to be more specific about the retaliatory tactics, but claims that people have been threatened and physically hurt in the Pentagon’s cover-up of the alleged UFO evidence and what he called “biologics.”
“It was very brutal and very unfortunate, some of the tactics they used to hurt me both professionally and personally,” Grusch says.
Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland said that Congress was looking for “transparency and reporting system so we can get some clarity on what’s going on out there.” Some lawmakers criticized the Pentagon for not providing more information.” {eoa}
