When one of the world’s premier Christian leaders comes under fire from accusations, it is absolutely critical that we understand the way the Bible instructs us to proceed. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us that there are “six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to him … a false witness who speaks lies, and he who sows discord among brethren.” Therefore, we must proceed with extreme caution.
The Bible also tells us, “Do not listen to an accusation against an elder unless it is confirmed by two or three witnesses” (1 Tim. 5:19, NLT).

“The first to plead his case seems right, Until another comes and examines him” (Prov. 18:17, NASB).
