Chick-Fil-A Loses Title as Best Fast Food Restaurant in America
It’s a sad day for God’s chicken.
Chick-Fil-A has been bumped from the no. 1 fast food spot in America to no. 3 in the USA TODAY’s Reader’s Choice vote.
Taking the no. 1 spot now is Mexican fast food chain Del Taco with KFC taking the second spot. As the New York Post reported, Chick-Fil-A has been named the best fast food spot now for almost an entire decade.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Chick-Fil-A made over $21 billion in 2023 which was an 11.2% increase from the year before which generated $18.81 billion. Chick-Fil-A has also recently had to abandon their vow to only serve customers antibiotic-free chicken. Instead of chicken that had “No Antibiotics Ever” they had to switch to “No Antibiotics Important to Human Medicine.”
Shake Shack also took on a battle against Chick-Fil-A by offering a special Sunday chicken sandwich, jabbing against Chick-Fil-A’s policy of being closed on Sundays.
“Every Sunday in April, we are offering a Free Chicken Shack with $10 minimum purchase with promo code: CHICKENSUNDAY. Just go to your nearest participating Shake Shack or order on our app or website to taste the true difference,” the food chain wrote on their website.
While one survey may show that Chick-Fil-A has lost its top spot as the best fast food restaurant, it continues to be a go-to place for millions of Americans.
