Barbaric ISIS Burns 45 Alive, Harvesting Organs, Reports Say
The Islamic State reportedly burned 45 people to death and has been harvesting their organs to finance their mission, according to news reports.
Iraqi Ambassador to the United Nations Mohamed Alhakim told the U.N. that bodies killed by ISIS have been found without parts.
“We have bodies. Come and examine them. It is clear they are missing certain parts,” The Independent reports Alhakim saying, though ISIS fighters deny the claims.
Alhakim’s report came mere hours after the U.N. was informed that as many as 45 people were rounded up in the Iraqi town of al-Baghdadi.
Town Police chief Col Qasim al-Obeidi says he believes some of the victims were part of Iraqi security forces and not technically “innocent civilians.”
The Inquistr links ISIS’ tactics to Middle-Age torture.
Al-Baghdadi has been under ISIS siege for months, according to the BBC, reportedly one of the few remaining towns in the Anbar province under Iraqi government control.
Rear Adm John Kirby from the Pentagon said it’s the first time in months ISIS has gained new ground.
The world remains worried.
“Almost daily terrorist attacks continue to deliberately target all Iraqis, most notably the Shi’ite community, as well as ethnic and religious minorities across the country,” United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Iraq Nickolay Mladenov told the UN Security Council. “Let me sound some alarm bells.”
He told the council that armed conflict and acts of terror killed 12,000 civilians in 2014 alone and injured 23,000 others.
