WATCH: Jill (Duggar) Dillard Shares She Prayed Through Miraculous 70-Hour Labor
Little Israel David Dillard came into the world at 9 pounds 10 ounces, but his parents were just happy to see his face.
Jill Duggar Dillard went into labor early morning April 4, and didn’t see her son until an emergency C-section delivered him 70 hours later.
“Not everything went as expected,” Dillard says. “We were reminded of the verse where the Bible talks about man plans his ways but the Lord directs his steps.”
After 20 hours of labor, the little family opted to go from their home to the hospital, according to People. She’d contracted strep B, and Israel was transverse breeched with an irregular heartbeat.
“I was praying to God to give me strength,” she tells People. “I was really scared and nervous, but I was praying.”
