What Does It Mean to Bless Israel?
In the last days, God will gather the nations back to Himself and establish a holy hill where the nations will go to Jerusalem.
Nations have had the right and privilege over hundreds of years to make choices that govern their destiny. Many of these choices have led to bloodshed, exploitation and disregard for God’s Laws.
Very soon however, Jesus Christ will rule these very same nations with an Iron Scepter as He rightly reclaims them as His own and brings the earth to a period of peace never before known.
Those choices, whether right or wrong, shall yield the rewards set by King Jesus. One of the most important choices that face nations today and the one that can change their fate is regarding the blessing of Israel.
Do you wonder why so much of the news you read lately is centered on Israel? It seems lately that Israel has its hands tied whether it’s land settlements in Jerusalem, the Palestinian Peace Process and more.
The Bible states in the last days, Jerusalem will become a burdensome stone.
Zechariah 12:3 states “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people; All that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces; though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
God is saying to the nations that you should expect this. God also says that Jerusalem will become an issue in the last days that will affect everyone. The peace process that you are hearing has far reaching effect that will impact every nation.
What can you do today, Africa, that keeps you in God’s grace that is so necessary in these times?
You can choose to make right choices that bless your men, women, and children. Or, you can choose to make bad choices.
What happens when you make bad choices is seen in the Book of Hosea.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children” (Hos. 4:6).
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15).
“‘Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!’ declares the Lord. Therefore thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning the shepherds who care for my people: ‘You have scattered my flock and have driven them away, and you have not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for your evil deeds, declares the Lord. Then I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and I will bring them back to their fold, and they shall be fruitful and multiply. I will set shepherds over them who will care for them, and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be missing, declares The Lord'” (Jer. 23:1-4).
The Lord however is gracious, slow to anger and compassionate.
Let us examine the right choice a nation can make that can bless her people.
Ezekiel 34:26 says of the nations that will bless Israel, “I will bless them and the places surrounding my hill. I will send down showers. There will be showers of blessing.”
God is saying that if you bless Israel, I will bless you. He that curses Israel I will curse. However, many people do not understand that blessing Israel means blessing God Himself. Therefore to go against Israel, known as The Apple of God’s Eye, is to go against God Himself.
There is a line that is being increasingly drawn in the sand regarding morality versus immorality; good and evil; righteousness and unrighteousness.
The issue is, does Africa want to be blessed or not?
The nations of the world including Uganda have entered into a valley of decision: Will they or won’t they support Israel. Israel is known as the light to the nations and that light is being felt right now.
The question is not should I bless Israel but rather how much.
The series of lessons will teach churches to how to become a source of blessing to Israel. These lessons are written by a Messianic Jewish Minister who carries the light of Yeshua—Jesus Christ.
What does it mean to bless Israel? When we are blessing Israel, we are really saying to God Almighty that He alone is the God of Abraham, Jacob, and Isaac. There is only one God. The very name Jehovah means Jealous.
