Anne Graham Lotz’s Husband Passes Away
Anne Graham Lotz’s husband, Danny, has died.
Anne, the daughter of Billy Graham, found her husband unresponsive in the couple’s pool earlier this week. He was taken to the ICU, but passed away on Aug. 19.
Known as “God’s Gladiator,” Danny fought myriad health concerns, including Type-1 Diabetes, heart disease, kidney failure and the loss of sight in one eye and hearing in one ear.
“And yet he never complained, never slowed down, never gave up, never stopped investing in the lives of others,” his obituary reads.
The couple was married for 49 years. As she was waiting in the hospital, Anne posted to Facebook: “This I call to mind and therefore I have hope; Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning … Lamentations 3:21-23. God’s faithfulness is great. We rest in His love and sovereign will.”
Now, the family is remembering Lotz as a great servant leader.
“He was more than a man’s man. He was God’s man who triumphantly finished his race having fought the good fight, and having kept his faith firmly focused on the kingdom of God first,” according to his obituary.
Please keep the Lotz and Graham families in your prayers.
