Watch: Mike Huckabee Works the Drive-Thru at Chick-fil-A
Mike Huckabee is running for president of the United States – but after that, he is already working on getting his next dream job. Last week, customers using the drive-thru window at the Chick-fil-A in Anderson, South Carolina, got a surprise: great chicken served by the former governor of Arkansas. Huckabee posted a video of himself spending the day inside the Christian-owned business as part of his “Mike at Work” initiative. “I fully expect to have a job in 18 months that will take me to Washington,” Huckabee said. “But about eight years after that, I’ll be needing some work, so I’m getting an early start.” It’s not the first time Huckabee helped the chicken chain pad its bottom line. After CEO Dan Cathy faced a media backlash for saying he supported traditional marriage, Huckabee declared “Chick fil-A Appreciation Day” on August 1, 2012. Before the close of business, the chain confirmed it had been “a record-setting day” in terms of sales.
