Marco Rubio Joined in New Hampshire by This Member of Congress
The race in the establishment lane in the New Hampshire Republican Primary features a crowded field.
In an effort to break away from former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio has brought in U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) to help him campaign around the Granite State. Issa will be traveling around the state Tuesday and Wednesday in Rubio’s campaign bus, “sharing with voters why he thinks Marco should be the next President of the United States.”
Issa, while a prominent conservative leader in the House of Representatives who has worked to hold the Obama Administration accountable for overreaches, corruption, and incompetence, is strongly tied to the establishment wing of the GOP. He served as Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee for four years.
He is expected to make six stops over the two-day swing. Rubio returns to the campaign trail in New Hampshire, on his own, Thursday. He and Issa are not currently scheduled to appear together.
