Prayer for Professional Journalists and News Media
Dear Father in Heaven,
You have commanded us to pray for those in all areas of worldly authority including those in the area of media, journalism and news. We acknowledge that all authority comes from You and thank You for the daily and foundational contributions of our press and news organizations.
In this unprecedented time of national turmoil and media expansion, we sense a loss of truth, objectivity and integrity in many of our national news organizations and journalists. Lord, we pray that You establish Yourself as the Lord and Ruler over America’s journalists, newsrooms and media outlets.
Lord, reset the “Media Compass” to truth and objectivity instead of opinion and sensationalism. Let the fires of truth consume the lies and deception. Stop the oppression and restriction of stories about Christianity and faith.
Lord, give wisdom, authority and protection to those who serve You in the news and media information fields. Give them the mind of Christ, genius of Holy Spirit, strength of Your Word, renewed heart of compassion and sanctification by the blood of Jesus.
Lord, for those journalists and media gatekeepers who are trapped, compromised or blinded by deception, fear, prejudice or pride—shine light and revelation into their minds, spirits and workplaces. Unbind them from false beliefs, destructive relationships and strongholds. By Your grace align them their true dreams.
By the power of the name of Jesus, we ask that You expose the lies, mesmerizing spirits, agendas and those focused on the destruction of America. Neutralize false information, twisted truth and gossip. Send confusion into the enemies’ camp. Let Your light expose and crush the unrighteous alliances, hidden plans, greed and manipulation.
In the long and stressful days ahead, give all who work in this field discernment, health and energy. Let all journalists, news and media choose to be instruments of that build and strengthen the fabric of our nation.
Father, let Your truth fill America’s news and media companies. We pray that You bless journalists, news and media so that they may be used for Kingdom purposes, always and forever more.
In summation, as the church it is our responsibility to lift up our leaders and the voices of our nation. We acknowledge the unique challenge that is upon our media today. We are called to bless and pray, not curse, those in authority. As a reminder, America has the best news gathering organizations and we must be thankful and intercede that God will use them for the benefit of our nation.

Expose and unravel unrighteous alliances between media, political parties and special interest groups working to control, exploit and destroy our nation.

Open eyes, minds, hearts and discernment for those in media who are being manipulated, deceived and prideful be enlightened and set free.
