Prophecy: The Spiritual 3 R’s Our Leaders Will Need
Dr. Bruce Cook, the CEO of VentureAdvisers.com Inc., Kingdom House Publishing and Kingdom Congressional International Alliance was praying recently when he said the Holy Spirit moved him to write about the importance of revelation.
“Back in the day when I was a student in elementary school, we were taught the 3 R’s—Reading, ‘Riting and ‘Rithmetic,” he wrote for The Elijah List. “As kingdom citizens, I want to suggest a spiritual 3R’s for leaders: Revelation, Relationships and Resources, with a fourth and fifth added in for good measure: Reformation and Renaissance.”
In his essay, he focused on revelation:
“As kingdom leaders and disciples of Christ, we are to be living epistles, “Known and read by all men” (2 Cor. 3:2). That means our lives are designed and intended by God to be living revelation. Habakkuk 2:2 (NIV) says, ‘Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.”‘ In other words, revelation is intended to be applied and put into practice by those who read or hear it.”
With respect to the subject of revelation, Cook wrote:
“Individuals, families, schools, governments, churches, etc. all need revelation to function and perform properly and optimally. Just ask generals, prime ministers, presidents, economists or any of a myriad of other front-line professionals about the critical importance and costly nature of revelation.”
The key points of his essay were:
- Revelation Provides or Projects Not Only a Training But a Restraining Force or Function in Society
- The Source of True Revelation Is God
- You and I Can Receive Divine Revelation Today
- The End-Time Army of Believers Is Alive and Well and Growing
- Revelation Alone Is Insufficient Without the Character to Steward It and Walk It Out
- The Purposes of Revelation
