National Security Adviser: The President Shared Information in a Wholly Appropriate Way
With Democrats and the compliant liberal mainstream media demanding answers after President Donald Trump was alleged to have shared highly classified information with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the White House brought out National Security Adviser Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster to provide them.
The briefing was previously scheduled to provide the White House Press Corps with advance details of the president’s first overseas trip, which will begin later this week. In the video clip above, you can see he also answered a number of questions about the president’s conversations with the Russians. McMaster was in the room at the time those conversations took place.
Additionally, the White House offered the following statement about the conversation:
Last Wednesday, President Donald J. Trump met with the Russian Foreign Minister and discussed counterterrorism and the common civil aviation security threats to the United States and Russia. Senior cabinet and national security advisors were present at the exchange between the President and Foreign Minister and agree that the conversations were appropriate, legitimate, and an important part of America’s efforts to combat the global terrorist threat. At no time during the meeting were any sources, methods, or military operations jeopardized. Civil aviation threats are real and there is nothing more important to President Trump than the safety and security of the American people.
