Former Manager Praises John Lennon Movie as ‘Genius’

If anyone can speak with authority about the Beatles, it’s former U.S. Beatle’s Manager Ken Mansfield. And Mansfield says the new movie, Genius gives a genuine portrayal of late group member John Lennon.

Genius will open your eyes,” said Mansfield, one of the few members of the group’s inner sanctum.

The Beatles turned to Mansfield to run their record division and named him the U.S. Manager of Apple Records beginning in 1968. He knew the real John Lennon.

“And that’s who we have portrayed in Genius—the real John Lennon,” said Ray Comfort, award-winning producer of a Los Angeles-based film company.

”It has twists and turns that you don’t expect. Genius shows another unheard of side of John Lennon and that will certainly ‘open your eyes,’ as Ken Mansfield so aptly said.”

The movie was released for free viewing on GeniusTheMovie.com to coincide with the December 8 anniversary of the death of John Lennon. In the first two days, it received more than 50,000 YouTube views. Comments have been very positive.

Genius has been called a “chilling” movie on the life and tragic murder of John Lennon.

“It’s chilling because it reveals what people will do for money,” Comfort said. “There are ordinary people out there who would kill you. All they need is the right money and the belief that they won’t get caught.”
