Follow the Leader

As we lead in the presence of the Holy Spirit, we love as we breathe.

If love is not present in our daily interactions, surely we aren’t walking in the presence of God.

God is love. How can we lead without acting in love?

You are equipped to do this because when you accepted Jesus as Savior, you accepted Him as Lord, meaning you accepted Him as your leader. When you submit to His leadership, you receive grace, wisdom, mercy and everything else you need to accomplish what He has called you to do.

Love-driven leaders are excellent followers of the ultimate love-driven Leader.

God always causes us to triumph in Him (2 Cor. 2:14).

When Jesus ascended to heaven, the Father sent the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us (John 16:13).

Jesus also sent “apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers” to equip us for ministry work (Eph. 4:11-12), and He has set in place authorities in the earth (Rom. 13:1).

Even Jesus was a follower. He told His disciples, “Truly, truly I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do. For whatever He does, likewise the Son does” (John 5:19).

May we walk in faith that we have all we need by the Holy Spirit of God as we follow our leader, Christ Jesus.

We are powered to love.
