A Biblical, Historical Case for Jerusalem as Israel’s Eternal Capital

Share:

Last week was momentous, for Israel as well as for the United States. And it was the validation of so much hard work for my dad.

After literally decades of tireless advocacy, my dad, American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow, was there in Jerusalem for the historic opening of the U.S. Embassy in the eternal capital of Israel. It was the fruition of a dream he’s held on to for as long as I can remember.

My father was on the ground to witness firsthand not only the important fulfillment of a law passed over 20 years ago, but America’s recognition of the fact that Jerusalem is indeed the eternal capital of Israel. We were all a part of that history as it unfolded, as my father represented the ACLJ and all its members for this historic occasion.

But Israel’s enemies are seething with anger. Over 50 Hamas and other jihadist operatives were killed trying to infiltrate Israel. Iran fired rockets into Israel.

Even the U.N. is rank with anti-Semitism. We’ve told you how the International Criminal Court (ICC) is preparing possible war crimes charges against Israel—instead of pursuing the true terrorists and criminals. It’s mind-boggling.

But why does the world harbor so much anti-Semitism and hatred towards Israel? What makes this move of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem so historic? Why does Israel matter?

In my dad’s brand new book, Jerusalem: A Biblical and Historical Case for the Jewish Capital, New York Times best-selling author Jay Sekulow answers these and many other questions.

We are all living history right now. With so many powerful forces conspiring against Israel, it is imperative that you stay informed.

My dad spent years meticulously researching this new book, and in it, he presents the legal and biblical case for Israel’s eternal capital, Jerusalem. My dad’s writing sums it up best:

This book will concisely, accurately and beyond the shadow of a doubt establish the legal and historical right for Israel to exist as a Jewish State. I will use biblical history, extra-biblical history, archaeology and international law to make my case. You’ll see clearly why the Jewish people lay claim to the land, that there has been an enduring Jewish presence in Palestine (Israel) for almost four millennia, why Jerusalem should be considered their eternal capital, and how modern Israeli law is built upon the bedrock principle of human rights. And as we go, I will also give you a clear picture of the enemy we’re fighting and what’s at stake for the Jewish people—and the world—if we fail. We—you and I—cannot allow that to happen.

“Jerusalem: A Biblical and Historical Case for the Jewish Capital” releases in bookstores on June 12, but you can pre-order it right now on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

This is information the world needs to know, and craves to understand, as Israel and Jerusalem are continually in the news every day. In “Jerusalem,” my dad lays out all the facts and answers every question in an interesting, easy-to-follow, format.

The relationship between the U.S. and Israel is crucial. But Israel is also very significant to my family. It’s literally in our blood. My parents, my brother and I have all spent time there—some of which even turned harrowing a times—as you’ll read. We must continue to support and defend our ally. {eoa}
