Christians Compelled to Bring Their Faith Into the Political Conversation
Many media outlets—on all sides of the political spectrum—have reported how crucial the 2018 mid-term elections will be. With much at stake, religion and culture expert, national radio host and author Dr. Alex McFarland helps Christians view every aspect of the culture, including politics, with their faith at the core.
McFarland’s upcoming two-day Truth for a New Generation (TNG) conference, happening in one month near Baton Rouge, Louisiana, will hone in on helping believers get back to the Bible in their daily decisions, even at the voting booth.
Set for Oct. 26-27 at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana, Truth for a New Generation gives believers the tools, knowledge and confidence to stay up for their faith in all areas of life—in school, while parenting, in the workplace, at church and in politics.
“Our country is at a turning point, with sides so vastly different in their thinking and philosophies about what America should be,” McFarland said. “As in the 2016 presidential election, Christians will again make the difference at the voting booth. It is vitally important that every faithful person pray for wisdom as they decide the fate of our nation. The speakers at the upcoming Truth for a New Generation conference are tuned in to the tools Christians need to make these very important decisions. We hear time and time again that attendees never look at society the same way after attending a TNG event. And God calls us to look at the world in a different way—through His eyes.”
For nearly two decades, McFarland has hosted TNG conferences nationally. Now, regional events featuring the nation’s best minds in apologetics will have the same goal to encourage Christians to pray for their country and their state and activate to bring revival to the land.
Joining McFarland in Baton Rouge will be national radio host and author Michael Brown; Church For All Nations senior pastor Mark Cowar; American Family Association host Meeke Addison and “Counter Culture Mom” Tina Marie Griffin, along with Ryan Bomberger; speaker, journalist and “factivist;” Daniel Ritchie; speaker and author of My Affliction for His Glory; Brett Kunkle, speaker, author and founder of MAVEN; and Juan Valdes, apologist and theologian.
