Australian Pastor: ‘Trump Blood Moons’ Show God Fulfilling Prophecy Right Now
Did you know President Donald Trump was born in 1946 during a blood moon? And did you know the latest blood moon occurred on Jan. 20-21, 2019—the midpoint of Trump’s first term in office? An amazing video by Australian pastor Steve Cioccolanti explains these blood moons thoroughly. In a little over a month, that video has garnered over 1 million views. Cioccolanti’s video so fascinated me that I asked to interview him on my podcast about the prophetic connection between Trump and these blood moons.
Cioccolanti sees such a significant connection between Trump’s presidency and these lunar eclipses that he’s actually started calling them “Trump blood moons.” He says we as Christians must not pursue astrology, but God certainly uses astronomical signs at times to confirm prophecy, such as how the Star of Bethlehem confirmed the prophesied Messiah’s birth.
Cioccolanti, of course, doesn’t compare Trump to Jesus Christ, but he does find it interesting that a total lunar eclipse occurred on the day Trump was born: Friday, June 14, 1946.
“Those things alone don’t catch our attention,” Cioccolanti tells me. “But if they fall on Hebrew feast days, the biblical holidays, that should really make you pay attention.”
Not only was there a blood moon the night of Trump’s birth, but there was also one during his run for presidency and yet another on at the midpoint of his first term.
“They’re symmetric, they fall on feast days and they keep pointing to Trump,” Cioccolanti says. “There are lots of other patterns in Trump’s life that are just amazing. I think people have heard that 700 days after Trump was born, Israel was reborn. So he was born in 1946, and Israel was reborn on the 14th of May, 1948. … Then he’s inaugurated, and his age is 70 years, seven months, seven days old—exactly on the 20th of January, which is his inauguration.”
Cioccolanti says in addition to all this, Trump’s inauguration happened in the Hebrew year 5777. But that’s not all. While Cioccolanti admits there’s some dispute about this, The New York Times reports that Trump beat Hillary Clinton by 77 electoral votes because seven electors defected.
“Then it goes on even more,” he says. “Counting seven months from his first full day in office, there was a total solar eclipse over the U.S. continent. And that hasn’t happened since 1776. So these astronomical signs are just beyond coincidence. The convergence of all these signs really tell us we’re in a very special time of prophetic fulfillment. We have a very special man in the White House we should pray for, and that’s why we see such darkness coming around him and trying to attack him in every way possible.”
Cioccolanti tells me that God’s plan is unfolding before our eyes, and I’m inclined to agree. In fact, I wrote two books about Trump to show that. My first political book, God and Donald Trump, reveals how God used prophecy and the Christian community to put Trump in the White House. And my second, Trump Aftershock, showcases how God has used Trump in amazing ways for the good of the nation and God’s people since the election.
Interestingly enough, Cioccolanti started talking about Trump before the billionaire even became the Republican nominee. The pastor noticed that in Old Testament prophecy, the Lord often played on words to communicate prophetic truths.
“So I said, ‘Wouldn’t it be poetic, wouldn’t it be prophetic, if God did that with Trump?'” Cioccolanti says. “First Corinthians 15 says that at the last trump, the dead in Christ will rise as a sign of the end times. I certainly never meant he would be a physical trumpet or that he would fulfill that sign, but I like to say that God drops hints like that.”
As he continued to teach and think on this, he felt convinced it was God’s will to vote for Trump, even though most of his godly peers were supporting Ted Cruz. Cioccolanti’s conviction grew so strong, in fact, that he made a prediction that Trump would win the presidency before he was even nominated as the Republican candidate.
Cioccolanti certainly wasn’t the only one to prophesy that. While he made that prediction over in Australia, several prophets made the same prediction here in the U.S., including Chuck Pierce, Frank Amedia, Mark Taylor and a Catholic holy man—all of which I detail in God and Donald Trump.
