Former Lesbian: World Cup Player’s Response to the White House Proves We Are in a Spiritual Battle
As reported by People.com on June 29, 2019, Megan Rapinoe, who is an extremely talented gay soccer player on the U.S. Women’s National Team has stated, “I’m not going to the [expletive] White House … No, I’m not going to the White House …”
In response, President Trump stated that the team has not yet won the World Cup but said, “I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women’s Soccer, but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS!…Finish the job! We haven’t yet invited Megan or the team, but I am now inviting the TEAM, win or lose. Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our flag, especially since so much has been done for her and the team. Be proud of the flag that you wear. The USA is doing GREAT!”
Rapinoe, who is the team co-captain and scored both of the team’s goals against France in Friday’s 2 – 1 World Cup quarterfinals victory, has stated that she will accept the offer by U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to visit the U.S. House of Representatives. The U.S. Women’s Soccer Team will play the Netherlands on Sunday (July 7, 2019) in the World Cup Final.
You would think Rapinoe would feel honored to be invited to the White House, but instead she takes a swipe at our president. Have you noticed that if people do not support the far-leftists’ views, they attack with disrespectful and hateful words at people such as us?
Rapinoe likes to speak her mind; however, she has taken feminism too far. She doesn’t want to go to the White House because our president does not support her views. How arrogant is that?
I am convinced that we are in a spiritual battle. We need God more than ever. Hebrew 13:17 says, “Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will must give an account. Let them do this with joy and not complaining, for that would not be profitable to you.” When we say we love God, we should also want to obey His commandments.
Those who do not submit to God will not submit to those in authority. Rapinoe is asking her team to support her by not going to the White House. We get the sense that she feels the need to control everyone around her.
If a Christian pastor responded as Rapinoe has responded, we as a group would all be labeled, called out and vilified.
I am sick and tired of the homosexual community, with an entitlement mentality, crying like babies just because their views are not supported.
What has happened to “agree to disagree” and keeping her mouth shut for once and putting on her big-girl pants? Rapinoe is a disciplined athlete at the top of her game, yet she does not have the discipline to keep her mouth shut and not react so dishonorably to the highest honor available in this country—an invitation to the White House.
She is the co-captain of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team. She should be an example to the young girls and boys who admire her and want to walk in her shoes. She is setting a bad example for them and her entire team. She has been extended an honor, an invitation to the White House, and yet she responds in dishonor. She is demonstrating intolerance and hate and is teaching hostility to children. She has become what she claims to be against.
Honestly, they should kick her off the team for not only disrespecting her team but our country. We have many women who would love her soccer position.
When folks do not act the way they should act, then we can teach them or pray for them.
The president does not always say things exactly the way I want him to say them. However, if I were invited by a Democrat or a Republican to the White House, I would step up and honor the invitation with appreciation and respect.
