‘Porn Pastor’ Passes Church Leadership to Former Adult-Film Star Brittni De La Mora
Formerly known by her stage name, Jenna Presley, ex-porn star Brittni De La Mora and her husband, Pastor Richard De La Mora, graciously accepted the baton passed by XXXchurch founder Craig Gross to take leadership of the company effective July 12. Gross will continue to serve in a coaching role while using this opportunity to pursue outside projects God has been beckoning him toward.
“God has done incredible things over the past 17 years through Craig’s leadership,” said Brittni “I have personally been extremely blessed by XXXchurch. I encountered them while I was still in the porn industry many years ago. God has transformed my life, and that makes me enthusiastic about what He will do over the next 20 years through this ministry. I have many relationships with women who are still in the sex-industry, and I can see that God is doing something grand in their lives. Richard and I are honored to carry this baton and will forever be grateful that Craig and Jeanette have entrusted us with their life’s work.”
Gross founded XXXchurch.com in 2002 as a response to the hurting he saw both in those addicted to pornography and those who made their living in the porn industry. Gross’ goal with xxxchurch.com was to raise the often-taboo subject of pornography as a problem that needed to be confronted. In the 17 years since its beginnings, XXXchurch.com has had more than 100 million visitors to the website and the ministry is the subject of an award-winning documentary.
In 2013, Gross felt God prompting him to move to a behind-the-scenes role in the XXXchurch ministry; since then, he has prayerfully considered who would take over his position when the right time arrived.
“No two individuals are more passionate and qualified to lead this ministry than this couple. I’m not simply at ease handing off the torch, I’m excited because it means greater things are coming for XXXchurch,” said Gross. “Still involved, yet stepping back; from quarterback to coach is how I like to think of this new season in the anti-porn ministry.”
In addition to serving in a coaching role of XXXchurch, Gross is concentrating on other projects including ChristianCannabis.com and ChristianCBD.com, which is set to launch CBD products this fall.
