3 Unusual, Miraculous Virtues That God Says Are Yours

In the book of Acts, there was a tremendous movement of unusual miracles.

“God worked powerful miracles by the hands of Paul. So handkerchiefs or aprons he had touched were brought to the sick, and the diseases left them, and the evil spirits went out of them” (Acts 19:11-12).

In this passage, we see there was a rare and uncommon dimension of God’s power that was bringing miraculous results. A miracle can be defined as a divine intervention in human affairs. God wants to bring miraculous results to the lives of His people. Healing miracles are one part of the equation, but I believe God wants His power to penetrate every area of your life.

Unusual Discernment

Discernment is the ability to look beyond. This gift is vital to the believer because we must be able to see through the eyes of the Spirit and determine the will of God in a given situation. Some may think this gift is reserved for a select few, but Paul taught in 1 Corinthians 12 that the discerning of spirits is available to all believers as we are led by the Spirit of God.

The discerning of spirits is the ability to see the spirit motivating a person or situation. It cuts through the clutter and gets to the root. Make no mistake: Motives matter. The right action with the wrong motive can be toxic. But God can reveal to you the motives influencing a person or situation. Unusual discernment is yours as you press into the mind and heart of God. This is part of His promise to lead you by His Spirit.

Unusual Peace

There is a realm of unusual peace that is available to you. When you choose to dwell in Jesus, a blanket of peace comes upon you.

The Lord said that you can remain in peace if you keep your mind fixed upon Him. If you stay rooted in His promises, you will abort the tormenting plans of hell and live in uncommon tranquility. This is not a promise for a few select believers but for each one of us. This is what was happening when the boat was being tossed to and fro and Jesus was sleeping (Matt. 8:23–27). He was unbothered because He knew His Father. Knowing the Father on an intimate level causes your heart to be established in complete peace.

The shalom of God is His wholeness and completeness in every area of your life! He finished it. He planned it. He paid the price for you to be whole in every way. And now you get to enjoy it. His peace comes as a result of knowing who He is and choosing to remain in that truth. In that place of rest there is unusual peace that others will not understand. You will sail through the storms unmoved and unbothered.

Unusual Boldness

God is releasing unusual boldness to you! In order to do what God has called you to do, you must not be afraid. To embark on kingdom exploits, you must be delivered from fear. God is giving you audacious dreams. He is looking for men and women who dare to abandon limited thinking, believing and praying. Heaven is looking for men and women to whom the Father can download earth-shaking dreams.

Boldness is linked with courage. The enemy does all he can to sow fear into your life. He gets you thinking on the wrong things, speaking the wrong things and believing the wrong things. Spend time in the presence of God and allow Him to fill your heart with His strong love, which brings reassurance and courage. As He gives you uncommon vision, He will release uncommon boldness so you can step out into the realm of miracles. {eoa}
