The One Question You Must Ask God
Some people may be afraid to ask God the tough questions, or maybe they just don’t want to know the real answer. The truth sets us free, but what does that really mean?
What God says is freedom for us may feel like bondage to us, and what feels like bondage is actually what Jesus died on the cross for: our redemption and freedom. The Bible says, “My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways” (Isa. 55:8a). And some people are even afraid of asking the Father a question.
God’s Word says, “God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and self-control” (2 Tim. 1:7). Is it really fear or is it disobedience? Or maybe it is out of sight, out of mind? We know when something is revealed to us, we are now accountable for it. Not wanting to know is disobedience. “For to whom much is given, of him much shall be required” (Luke 12:48b).
Are we willing to count the cost? Are we willing to allow God to completely have His way in our lives? Are we willing to die to our flesh and line up with the Word of God? Until we rise to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we will continue to keep Him on the cross. Jesus died for us to be free from sin, not perfect, but free by grace. He rose from the dead and died for us to operate in power. He gave us the best gift ever: life and Holy Spirit.
If we have no knowledge, it is because we ask not (James 4:2). The devil’s job is to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10a). Every time we ignore the truth, we give the enemy legal right to torment and wreak havoc in our lives. Take authority and submit to the Father’s will for your life. It is time to live in the fullness of God.
How can we cast a devil out when we are walking in agreement with him? How can we heal the sick if we are harboring unforgiveness?
It is time to know. Ask God about the areas in our lives that are in agreement with the enemy so He can set us free. Whom the Son has set free is free indeed (John 8:36). It is time for you to grab hold of your inheritance of power and authority in Jesus’ name.
