Religious Freedom: Sean Feucht Brings #LetUsWorship to D.C.

“We feel this is one of the most significant moments in the history of our nation,” said missionary kid, worship leader and revivalist Sean Feucht just before leading the #LetUsWorship rally at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., Sunday. “There is nothing more powerful we can do than lift up the name of Jesus.”

People from all over the country came to participate. James Hanson traveled from Asheville, North Carolina, to be at the rally.

“I came to praise … worship because I believe God has set up Sean, according to prophecy, to lead us at this time. We are here to pray and ask God to help our country, for revival and for help with the upcoming election in a little over a week,” he said.

Another group of young people came from Michigan for the rally. One of them said, “We came to praise and worship and ask God to help our country. We are believing for revival.”

Mary from Washington, D.C., said, “I live nearby and saw the event being prepared for on the mall and wanted to be where God is. We need God in this country.”

A crowd estimated by onsite staff to be about 5,000 stood in front of a stage—in the rain—on the National Mall. The Capitol served as the backdrop.

Praise and worship sounded across the park from worshippers with hands raised and eyes closed. It touched more than those worshipping: those with the nearby David’s Tent, a worship and prayer tent on the mall; the smiling police officers, used to having to handle riots and other events on the same site; and passersby.

More than the people, Feucht and his merry band of worshippers believe their praise and worship touches the heart of God. The core belief in their worship strategy, embodied throughout Scripture, is that praise and worship preceded biblical attacks—like the falling walls of Jericho.

The group has taken praise to Colorado, Illinois, California, Wisconsin and other states around the country. They have been dubbed “worship protests” to the rapturous joy of believers who have become frustrated by church being considered “non-essential.”

As bestselling author of God, Trump and COVID-19, Stephen Strang, says, “I believe there are spiritual forces at work that the Bible calls spiritual warfare,” referring to Eph. 6:12: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

In just eight days, the votes of the 59 million believers who failed to vote in 2016 will be needed to ensure the continued freedom of people like Feucht, for making the way for a Great Awakening and the greatest days America has ever had. Otherwise, the “antifa curtain” of communism will descend on “the shining city on a hill,” reminiscent of the speech given by Winston Churchill on March 5, 1945, in which he said, “From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic, an iron curtain has descended across the continent.” {eoa}
