Election Outcome: Dr. James Dobson, Franklin Graham Call the Faithful to Prayer
Dr. James Dobson and Franklin Graham, strong supporters of President Donald J. Trump, are leading the prayer movement of believers representing the nearly 72 million who voted for the president. Last week’s election garnered the largest Republican vote in history as well as the largest Latino and Black totals ever to continue to support the president, shown forth as each state tallies votes for the legal certification of the election, due on Dec. 14.
Dr. James Dobson gave an encouraging word to believers via his ministry’s Facebook page: “At this time, President Trump is contesting the noncertified election results in several states that could make a difference in the election outcome. He has stated that he will be presenting his case to the Supreme Court to ensure the integrity of our election process is not compromised. Please pray for the president, the United States Supreme Court and all of our nation’s leaders as we attempt to bring clarify and certainty to the results of this historic election.”
Franklin Graham reiterated Dr. Dobson’s encouragement with a Veterans Day Facebook post that included the words: “It seems our nation is under attack—attack from within, from socialists who want to bring anarchy to our streets. The hard-won freedoms that we have enjoyed in America are very much at stake. Pray for the President, our Commander-in-Chief, as he leads the nation during these turbulent times, that God would give him wisdom, grace, and understanding for times such as these.”
Graham also gave a charge to believers who are confused or succumbing to the media information, “Many fear that some are trying to steal the election, so join me in praying that the will of God would be done. Pray that the enemies of God would be quieted and that all their plans would be put to nothing.”
Bestselling author Stephen Strang says in God, Trump and the 2020 Election, “As people of faith, we cannot stand by and allow these rights and privileges to be erased. We must stand up and be counted. … It is the only way we will preserve those rights and freedoms for the generations that will follow.” These words evoke those of Psalm 144:1: “Blessed be the Lord my strength, who prepares my hands for war, and my fingers to fight.”
The battle ahead that Graham refers to is clear. First, it is an information war, in a manner that typically happens in communist dictatorships. References to the massive election fraud put in place as the president won overwhelmingly on Nov. 3 have resulted in Twitter, Facebook and YouTube accounts shut down. Overnight, the previously conservative Fox News lost over half its viewers as the irate 72 million supporters of the president moved to Newsmax and OAN TV for TV, Parler for Twitter/Facebook and Rumble as the YouTube replacement. All of these sites refuse to censor any reports and have joined to defend the president and have quickly exploded in users and views.
For those confused as to the way forward, first, any designations of a “president-elect” are without basis, as that happens on Dec. 14, when the electors gather to vote for president. Before that time, multistate lawsuits are currently being waged with hundreds of sworn witnesses who have signed affidavits describing how up to 3 million votes have been fraudulently put forward in a combination of false ballots, computer systems engineering and sheer production of blank ballots while observers were shut of out of voting centers, rendering all votes uncertifiable.
It is believed the sheer numbers of verified fraud and a wave of state-by-state hand recounting of votes mean that by Dec. 14, the votes for the president should be restored. Any disputes after that will go to the Supreme Court which, as a direct answer to prayer, now has a conservative believer on the bench in Amy Coney Barrett. If all else fails, the final decision-making power falls to the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, where in another amazing miracle of God’s providence, votes for the president do not rest not on numbers of members but on the basis of one vote per state.
Believers are asked to pray for the certification of the president on Dec. 14 and meanwhile urged to join one of the rallies being held every day at noon in every state capital and at the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C., with a large “Million MAGA March” on Nov. 14 at noon at Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C., with up-to-date information available at thewhilehousteprayerteam@
