Being an Ambassador for Christ: Perpetually Praising God

Editor’s Note: This is part three of a four-part article. Find part one here, part two here and part four here.

“I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Ps. 34:1, NASB).

In the previous article, I covered the importance of choosing to start each day by acknowledging God, and thus making Him our first priority—our first fruits. When we begin our mornings by sitting before the LORD, we set the course for our day and establish a godly mindset moving forward.  Beloved, remember, this is truly a choice and a decision of our will—which each of us can control.

Notice also in the above verse, David’s declaration went even beyond starting his day worshipping Father; this former king of Israel had resolved in his heart to praise his God “continually.” David awoke each morning with praise for HaShem on his lips, and he kept expressing his adoration and love for the Father throughout the day. In fact, God called David “a man after His very heart.”

“The Lord has sought out for Himself a man [David] after His own heart” (1 Sam. 13:14b).

Beloved, when we make the mandatory choice to exalt God continually, praising Him with our mouth, do we really know what that requires? It means we will no longer limit ourselves to only praising God in the morning, when we are alone in our prayer closet or in the confines of our own home. It means that it becomes constant, persistent and nonstop. It means, as we go about our day, there will be a perpetual, natural and unyielding praising of God—all day long. It will become a reflection of who we are and who we want to become more like: Yeshua.

“His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

“No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket, but on the lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light” (Luke 11:33, NASB 1995).
