Cosmo’s Vile “Sex-Vent” Calendar “Mocks, Defiles” Jews and Christians
The latest issue of Cosmo magazine mocks and defiles Jews and Christians with their “Sex-Vent calendar,” Victoria Hearst says.
“‘Sex-Vent calendar’? You mean, like the Christian Advent calendar that counts down to Christmas Day and the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?” The granddaughter of media mogul William Randolph Hearst said in a statement. “You’re really going to mock and defile something good and holy to millions of American Christians like me?”
Hearst, who is known for her campaign to stop the sale of Cosmo to minors, is referring to Cosmo’s “Sexy Holiday Countdown,” which suggests deplorable acts using Jewish objects, including a Menorah and dreidel.
“The Jewish celebration of Hanukkah is turned into a pornfest that Israel’s ancient pagan enemies would be proud of,” Hearst says.
Hearst’s publicist Dianne Rogers called the column “anti-Semitic” when speaking to Charisma News by phone.
In one suggestion, writer Anna Breslaw recommends playing a game of “Sex Dreidel.”
“This spin (get it?) on the traditional holiday game makes each Hebrew letter on the toy’s sides represent something a little less kosher than you’re used to.”
Hearst says the instructions are so graphic, she won’t repeat them. She demands an apology for the “blasphemous” content.
“Anna Breslaw, Cosmopolitan Magazine Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles, Hearst Communications Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Steven R. Swartz, Chairman William R. Hearst III and Hearst Magazines Division President David Carey owe every Christian and Jew in America an apology for their willful, perverted, depraved, hurtful and blasphemous assault on our religions and the G-D of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!
“If no public apology is given, it will show every American how selfish, heartless and godless these people are,” Hearst concludes.
