FBI Agents Confiscate Mike Lindell’s Cell Phone—At a Hardee’s Drive-Thru
While going through the drive-thru at a fast-food restaurant recently in his hometown of Mankato, Minn., MyPillow CEO and entrepreneur Mike Lindell says he was cornered by agents showing FBI badges and had his cell phone confiscated due to his connection to the investigation of Dominion Voting machines in Colorado.
On The Lindell Report, Lindell revealed that while at a Hardee’s in Mankato, several unmarked cars surrounded his car and he was deluged by FBI agents who wanted to ask him questions about his involvement in the Dominion Voting Systems probe in Colorado, which Lindell alleged that voter fraud had taken place during the 2020 presidential election. In May, Lindell was ordered to pay legal fees and costs incurred in what the courts said was a “frivolous” lawsuit surrounding the “rigging” of that election, Bloomberg.com reported.
Lindell was involved in the making of the movie, “Absolute Interference,” released in 2021, where he discusses with guests his theory that the election of 2020 was hacked by foreign operatives.
Lindell described the incident at the Hardee’s as “incredible.”
“I was told to pull ahead so they could prepare my order, and all of a sudden, a car comes and parks perpendicular in front of us,” Lindell said on The Lindell Report. “I’ve been around the block, and I said that’s either a bad guy or the FBI. Then, another car comes and pins us down on the right side, and then one from behind.
“I opened my door and I asked, ‘Who are you, and what do you want?’ They said ‘We need to talk to you.’ I pulled over and they started asking me questions about Colorado. I asked them, ‘Are you going to arrest me?’ If you do, I’ve been asking for you to do this because this will make international news. They said, ‘No, we’re not going to arrest you.’ I asked them what they wanted, and they just said we want to ask you some questions.
“They were nice and didn’t have an attitude, but then that’s suspicious. Then they said, ‘We’ve got some bad news.’ I thought, ‘Uh oh, here it comes.’ And he said, ‘We’re taking your cell phone.’ It’s like they had a warrant to take my cell phone.”
Lindell says he was shocked that the FBI confiscated his phone, a device he says from which he conducts business of five companies that he owns, including MyPillow, and that included all of his personal information.
“I said, ‘If I don’t give it to you, will you arrest me?’ I thought, are you kidding me? You’re not getting my phone. So, he shows me this piece of paper, something to ‘arrest my phone.’ I called my lawyer, and he said that ‘You should give them your phone.’ I think they would have gotten my phone by physical force if I didn’t give it to them. This is my life, it’s my business. I don’t have a computer, just my phone.”
On the Lindell Report, Lindell displayed the subpoena warrant, which did not brandish an official logo or seal and which read:
Sept. 7, 2022
Grand Jury Subpoena 8-22
Dear Subpoena Recipient
“An official criminal investigation of a suspected felony is being conducted by an agency of the United States and a Federal Grand Jury of the District of Colorado. As a subpoena recipient, you are not under and obligation of secrecy. However, we request that you not disclose the existence of this subpoena for an indefinite period of time. Although the law does not require non-disclosure unless a court order is issue, we believe that the impact of any disclosure could be detrimental to the investigation. If you do not believe that you can comply with this request, please notify the undersigned Assistant United States Attorney before you disclose the essence of the subpoena. Thank you.” – Aaron Teitelbaum, Assistant United States Attorney
“Well Mr. Aaron Teitelbaum, I hope you’re watching, because this is your notification. I’m telling the world about this garbage. You come and take my cell phone that has things that run my companies when you could have just asked for anything you wanted and gotten it by other means—whatever you are looking for. There is your notice. And yes, I will tell the world about what happened. This is disgusting. They’re hurting MyPillow, they’re hurting my employees.”
After the FBI raided Donald Trump’s private residence at Mar-a-Lago in early August, many conservative media pundits proclaimed that, if they could do this to a former president, then they could do this to anyone.
Apparently, now they have.
