Is more censoring coming to your social media platforms ahead of the 2022 midterms? Twitter announced they are taking additional steps to “protect civic conversation,” and that means whatever information on the election they deem misleading will be suppressed.

The company has deleted and banned conservative thinkers and posts that diminish the ideologies they support. In 2020, the app censored reports on Hunter Biden from the New York Post, on his alleged unlawful business transactions. This was in support of their “misinformation” campaign ahead of the election.

Now, Twitter is back at it again, saying they will be the ones to put prompts on your timeline giving you the information they think you need to know about Election Day.

Just a few months ago, Political Commentator Jordan Peterson was banned from the app for using the biological pronouns for an actress–turned actor. Peterson did not comply with Twitter’s personal gender ideologies, all of which go against the Bible, so his thoughts were no longer allowed to be heard.

“The suspension will not be lifted unless I delete the ‘hateful’ tweet in question, and I would rather die than do that,” Peterson says in a video posted to his YouTube channel.

Facebook and TikTok are also following in the steps of Twitter to reinforce ‘misinformation policy,’ Facebook officials announced even greater measures than those in previous election years.

Facebook claims their mission is to “prevent election and voter interference.” The companies say they will implement third-party fact checkers and add an Explore tab with ‘reputable outlets’ of their choice.

Many are now wondering where the First Amendment comes into play with all the censorship on social media. These are publicly traded companies, and the role of the First Amendment is to protect citizens from government censorship.

More or less, these social media platforms can restrict and diminish your freedom of speech and even the freedom of religion.

The Word of God tells us to be aware of Satan’s evil schemes. 2 Corinthians 2:11 says, “lest Satan should take advantage of us. For we are not ignorant of his devices.”

Could the enemy be using the censorship on these platforms, in an effort to spread anti-Biblical agendas?

Every Christian is called in Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

As the pressures of the age continue to rise, we set our hearts on the fact that we are truly citizens of heaven and not of this world. It is up to each follower of Jesus to discern what is put before them and to be on constant alert of the enemy that is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking to steal, kill and destroy. {eoa}
