‘Jezebel’ Magazine Writer and Comedian’s Undaunted Pro-Abortion Stance Is Unfathomable

“This is what choice is and that is what choice means and I refuse to feel shame” is just one of the social media graphics being circulated by the pro-abortion site “Shout Your Abortion,” aka “SYA.”

According to Wikipedia, the “Shout Your Abortion” social media campaign and website were developed by writer and comedian Lindy West on Sept. 19, 2015, in response to our client Sandra Merritt’s undercover videos that exposed Planned Parenthood’s gruesome sale of freshly butchered baby parts.

Perhaps best known for her work as a writer for Jezebel magazine (I kid you not) and her book “The Witches Are Coming,” West and her accomplices were angry that Congress was considering defunding Planned Parenthood following the horrific videos that exposed the abortion giant’s illegal human organ trafficking scheme.

The group asked women to celebrate the act of killing their children and to “Shout Your Abortion” by sharing personal abortion stories on the website.

But the website’s intentions are being foiled by the women posting the stories of their own abortions! One after another, women posting to the site mention deep sadness and overwhelming emotional pain because of their “choice.”

“I regret my abortion. There is not a day that goes by that I wish I hadn’t made a different choice. I made the choice I thought was right and later changed my mind,” is what one post writer said on Nov. 21, 2022. In what can only be a psychological twist to manage her guilt, she concluded, “This is what choice is and that is what choice means and I refuse to feel shame.”

Of course, SYA chose to only use the woman’s last sentence in their abortion-glorifying graphics because agony and regret really are not worth “celebrating,” are they?

Another Shout Your Abortion post boasts, “It broke me, but I did the right thing.” But once again, after reading the woman’s full post, it is clear the SYA editors also conveniently sanitized her story.

On Jan. 18, 2023, “Anonymous” did indeed begin her post with celebratory words. However, she also wrote that after the abortionist’s IV delivered the child-killing chemicals into her body, she “sobbed and sobbed uncontrollably.”

The woman wrote that she has moments of believing that she “did the right thing,” but that “I also have periods of wanting to disappear.” The woman’s post ends with “I want to talk to someone about it, I just know that no one will understand. I want it to stop aching.”

The pro-death cult leaders behind the site deliberately chose to whitewash these women’s stories to further their agenda that child murder is somehow good, reasonable and worthy of celebratory “shouts.”

But evil can never withstand light.

On July 16, 2018, another anonymous woman wrote, in part, “I often wonder if I had carried out the pregnancy, would my life be better.”

On July 6, 2018, a woman named Bonnie posted that she “wailed with grief during the procedure.” She added, “The counselor at Planned Parenthood who I spoke with before the procedure explained that it [abortion] was more emotionally painful because I had given birth already and knew what I was losing” (emphasis added). Bonnie says she cried for weeks after her abortion.

On Oct. 9, 2020, another anonymous woman posted that “the pain and grief that comes with it [abortion] is horrible.”

On Feb. 18, 2020, yet another anonymous woman posted, in part, “I feel sure I made the right decision for myself, and at the same time I feel a deep sense of loss and grief.”

“I’ve found it difficult to reconcile both my complete conviction that I did the best thing I could do to create safety in my life, and the very real emotional pain the abortion caused me. It’s been almost a year since I had the abortion, and I think about it every day. It’s become easier with time, but it’s certainly something that has changed my life forever.”

Despite Shout Your Abortion’s attempts to glorify abortion into an act worthy of celebration, the pain and agony cannot be hidden—even in the stories they share on their own site.

2023CMPrintcoverOnly Satan himself could “celebrate” the death of an innocent child. And only the dark one’s death-cult followers would try to convince a woman to perform an act that not only takes the life of another, but which so obviously wounds their own hearts.

This Sunday is Sanctity of Life Sunday, established by former President Ronald Reagan in 1984. Please pray for our nation to finally end the rivers of blood shed at Baal’s, Jezebel’s and Molech’s abortion-clinic altars. Please also remember to pray for our client Sandra Merritt, whose brave undercover expose’ revealed Planned Parenthood’s despicable baby butchering and human organ trafficking.

Liberty Counsel will appear in court again on Feb. 1, 2023, as we await a trial date to defend Sandra from the criminal charges that seek to put this truth-telling grandmother in prison for 10 years.

Finally, please pray for spiritual and emotional healing for the tens of millions of post-abortive women in this country in which 63 million children have been butchered since 1973 on the evil altars of “freedom” and “choice.” {eoa}
