John Ramirez: The Secrets to Spiritual Warfare

We are called to fight the good fight of faith.

In an exclusive interview with Charisma Media, John Ramirez discussed the secrets to spiritual warfare that most Christians do not properly understand. However, knowing how to fight the good fight of faith is critical for us to be good stewards of what the Lord has given us and so that we can live in the victory Christ died to provide for His children.

“Christians haven’t been fully discipled in spiritual warfare,” Ramirez says.

Ramirez’s new book, “Exposing the Devil’s Playbook,” is meant to help Christians learn how to spot the signs of the enemy and fight back with the Word of God. Ramirez says that it’s not once we feel the effects of the enemy that we should be operating with heaven’s authority, but rather before the storm hits.

“What’s standing [in] your blind spot?” Ramirez asks. “If you can see the footsteps [of the enemy], you could be on the offense…you don’t have to be in the defense all the time.”

One of the blind spots within the church that Ramirez discusses is how Christians actively participate in events that are not of God, but rather are pieces of deception, leading people toward darkness instead of light.

“We practice the things of the kingdom of darkness into our church,” Ramirez says.

Ramirez points to the acceptance and celebration of Halloween within the church. He compares it to his days as a Satanist and how he never would have celebrated Good Friday when he was in the kingdom of darkness, yet there are Christians who are openly celebrating darkness instead of light.

“What happened to the church….we love the things we do, but we don’t love who we do it for anymore,” he says. “We love the things we do because it brings attention to us, but we don’t love the person we do it for anymore, which is Jesus Christ.”

Instead of walking in darkness, Christians are called to walk in the light. We must come to God in worship and prayer, fully devoted to Him in order to fight and win all the battles laid before us.
