Katie Souza, Alan DiDio on the Biblical Truth of Prosperity
When it comes to the topic of prosperity, Christians tend to shy away from it because they fear it will stir up strife and division. However, there is a biblical approach to prosperity.
After being heavily attacked in the spiritual realm while discussing prosperity, Alan DiDio decided that he simply would no longer touch the topic. However, what he tells Katie Souza is that the Lord visited him on account for stopping his teachings on this subject.
“I was visited by the Lord in my office in one of the strongest manifestations of His presence where it threw me on the floor and He rebuked me for not talking about prosperity,” says DiDio. “And I had to repent for not preaching enough about the subject of prosperity.”

DiDio says that in our world today, hearing the word “prosperity” immediately shifts something in the atmosphere, in a similar way to when people discuss politics.
“The enemy is trying to rob us from being able to reap the end time harvest,” DiDio says.
DiDio points out that the end is upon us, the days are drawing near and we must seek the Lord with all of our hearts to receive every single promise He has made to us that way we can be fully equipped and ignited to preach the gospel to all creation. While there are extremes that exist about prosperity, we cannot allow these extremes to dictate what the Word of God says.
“God cares about your needs,” says DiDio. “This is important because your joy gets divided and depleted when you struggle financially. And the joy of the Lord is your strength. And so if you’re depleted in joy, in your strength because you’re struggling to pay your bills, your faith to believe for the salvation of your house is hindered.”
Souza says she herself has been convicted before about not discussing prosperity enough.

“The body of Christ needs to move out of the poverty mindset into knowing that God is breathing in this hour,” says Souza. “On opportunities, on businesses…I know He’s in this season right now that’s opened up where God is actually going to give you so many amazing opportunities to create streams of wealth.”
DiDio makes it clear that prosperity is not about getting rich overnight. It’s about people who are already seeking the kingdom of God first above all else and are facing struggles, but are not walking in the full abundance that the Lord has for them. God will supply for all of our needs; He desire that we apply His principles.
“If you’ll be faithful to apply the principles over time, you qualify for the prosperity that God has promised you,” says DiDio. “I am applying the principles of God over time, and as a result of being faithful to that Word, I am seeing the blessing of god being produced in my life.”
Scripture tells us that our Father in heaven knows how to give even better gifts to His children than earthly parents do. We must remember that God knows exactly what you need, and He ultimately has good plans not to harm you, but to prosper you, to give you a hope and a future.
