Lou Engle Calls for Body of Christ to Unite to Fast and Pray for LGBTQ Community

Lou Engle is helping to send out calls to the body of Christ for prayer and fasting for the LGBTQ community. The call has become known as the Behold the Lamb Fast.

This fast, which began Monday, March 7, prompts believers to pray for members of the LGBTQ community. People who participate in this fast will also take communion daily. The focus of this movement is that the LGBTQ community will behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, and its goal is that the LGBTQ might understand God’s great love for them and Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for them.

Behold the Lamb Fast will have 40 daily devotionals with key Scripture highlights (check out the website) and prayer focus for that individual day. Lindsey Kiser, author of Piercing the Night: Strategic Intercession to set the LBGTQ+ Captives Free, is the author of the 40-day devotional on the beholdthelamb.com.

“I am filled with great excitement and holy expectation that we are in a Kairos moment from the Lord, and that the body of Christ is responding in partnership with God’s heart through prayer and fasting to see the rainbow people receive the gift of his son,” Kiser says.

Kiser came out of a lesbian identity after following Jesus Christ.

Lou Engle is helping ignite the body of Christ about this fast. Lou has a heart for the salvation of the LGBTQ community.

“God, give us 100,000 gay and lesbian men and women to be radically transformed,” Engle prays. “We’re asking God to loose a movement—a divine breakthrough—for at least 100,000 gay and lesbian men and women!”

Lou has partnered with Jeffrey McCall and Freedom March in past years. Freedom March is a ministry that unites former LGBTQ to share their testimonies in major U.S. cities. The former LGBTQ individuals then march in the downtown of those cities, publicly professing Jesus is Lord.

Jeffrey McCall, who organized the creation of this fast, is the founder of the Freedom March. Jeffrey formerly lived as a transgender woman until he had an encounter where God spoke to his heart in 2016.

“This may be the first time the body of Christ unifies to pray specifically for the LGBTQ community,” McCall says. “I don’t know if this has ever been done at this scale. How beautiful it is that many would unite, fast, and take time to pray for these precious community that Jesus Christ paid for with his precious blood.”

McCall is hoping for much fruit from this fast and to see the freeing of the 100,000 LGBTQ souls that Bob Jones prophesied would be delivered.

“I hope to see even more new people who are the priceless fruit from this fast at this year’s national Freedom March in Washington, D.C., on June 11.

Engle, McCall and Kiser all hope that you would join the Behold the Lamb fast for the deliverance of many in the LGBTQ community. The fast will last until April 15.

“If you don’t have the chance to begin on the start date in March, we still welcome you to begin with us whenever you can,” McCall says. “We know from the word of God we can move things in the heavens by prayer and fasting. Our weapons are not carnal but are mighty for the pulling down of strongholds!” {eoa}
