Meghan McCain Refuses to Co-Host ‘The View’ With Elisabeth Hasselbeck Over Her COVID-19 Prayer Comments

Meghan McCain, the lone conservative co-host of The View, said Wednesday she would refuse to appear again on the ABC talk show alongside Elisabeth Hasselbeck because of the former co-anchor’s past comments, particularly those encouraging people to pray in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

McCain, 35, shared the surprising revelation during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

“I took this virus seriously from the very beginning, and I thought a lot of this rhetoric was really dangerous,” McCain said. “I think it’s really, really unfortunate and dangerous that she said that.”
