The Secret to Help You Find Life’s Sweet Spot

As a popular speaker on parenting and marriage, Jay Payleitner knows he must practice what he preaches. If he isn’t living a satisfied, contented life in Jesus, how can he implore others to do the same?

Years ago, Payleitner, through an obscure Bible character in Proverbs, learned the secret of how to find the sweet spot in every aspect of his life. And he’s been able to help others do the same through his ministry.

In his new book The Prayer of Agur, Payleitner unpacks this short, 13-word prayer found in Proverbs 30:8b (NIV): “Give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.”

“We need to live in that sweet spot that God has for each and every one of us. Not rich, not poor, not angry, not wimpish,” Payleitner, a Christian freelance producer and bestselling author, tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. “You can live in that sweet spot. When you don’t have too much or too little, you can move forward.

“You can know that God loves you just the way you are. God has a plan for you. You can explore life, and you can dream dreams,” he says. ” And you don’t have to panic over whether or not you’re a worldly success. You can do things. You don’t have to say, ‘Is this going to get me a bigger house? Is this going to get me fame and fortune?’

“You don’t have to worry about failures either, because He’s going to take care of your daily bread. God loves you and me,” Payleitner explains. “He loves you whether your cup is empty or whether your cup is overflowing. That’s part of His plan.”
